I don’t think that I have to say more about Dubai. Everybody knows that there you can find the most impressive structure in the modern world - world’s most luxurious hotel, Burj Al Arab and world’s tallest building , Burj Dubai. Now, they have prepared a new impressive structure: it’s the Rotating Tower designed by David Fisher’s Dynamic Architecture.

Nowadays, the most incredible structures and buildings are built in Asia, America or in the Middle East. Well, sometimes there are some great projects in Europe like this concept design by The Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) and Dutch development company, Multi Vastgoed. Called the Coolsingel Project because it’s going to be built in Rotterdam’s shopping district, the Coolsingel.

Cybertecture is the architecture of the 21st century and the company that will take it even further is James Law Cybertecture International. The company was assigned by Vijay Associate (Wadhwa Developers) to design a building like no other for Mumbai, India and they came up with the Cybertecture Egg.

The renowned Croatian architects 3LHD have designed another great project called House V which is a fancy family house. The House V is placed near to the Medvednica mountain in Zagreb (Croatia’s capital) and it was built as a perfect house which will “satisfy the needs of a family”. The design of the House V was influenced by the landscape which is breathtaking. Check out the pictures and see if you would like to live there!

A housing complex designed by JDS Architects + CEBRA in collaboration with Louis Paillard and SeArch will be constructed in Aarhus, Denmark. The 25,000 square meters complex will be deployed by Tækker Group and Brabrand Boligforening and will be completed in the Q2 of 2010.

A revolutionary architecture project has been unveiled for Abu Dhabi, UAE. A 40-story tower was designed by Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture from Asymptote and the construction will be completed by 2011. The tower will be called Strata Tower and will be 160 meters high.

I never would have thought that one of the most interesting structure designs could be a botanical garden. I am talking about the botanical garden in Medellin, Colombia which was re-designed by the Plan B Architects. Their new built contruction is called Orquideorama and it consists of metal and steel flower-tree structures with a hexagonal-organic shape.
The architects who designed the Orquideograma are Felipe Mesa and Alejandro Bernal and their idea was to build interconnected modular structures and as we said, with a hexagonal-organic structure and what’s better than honeycombs?

Across the world there many architectural design competitions meant to brings new ideas for the skyscrapers of the future. One of these events is the eVolo Skyscraper Competition and the structure that caught our attention is a design made by Daekwon Park called Symbiotic Interlock.

Kazakhstan is establishing as a country with the most impressive architectural designs. Its capital, Astana, is the home of two astonishing buildings - the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, and the Khan Shatyry Entertainment Center. Now, the financial capital and largest city called Almaty will feature a design signed by Sir Norman Foster, a renowned British architect.
The structure will consist of two towers and will be called Almaty Financial District Fosters Towers and will feature 48-stories. The twin towers will be completed in 2009 and with their 709 feet, will be the tallest buildings in Kazakhstan. Almaty Financial District Fosters Tower will provide space for offices, residential apartments and retail on lower stories.
The facades of the towers will be covered in glass and at the top of the tower you will find gardens destined as a relaxation space. For the moment there aren’t many information about the towers, but reports say that the Almaty Towers will be environmental friendly. New York is one of the world’s city with the most impressive architectural designs and also their latest design is environmental friendly. The under-construction green building was designed by Neil M. Denari Architects and it’s located in West side Manhattan in the Chelsea art gallery district.
The green structure will be called High Line 23 and it will feature 14-stories of gallery space, residences and penthouse at the top floor. The uncanny design of the building has made its architects to “chase” the LEED Gold certification for HL23. The green part consists of natural ventilation, low VOC interior materials, energy efficiency, natural illumination, water preserved fixtures and we should praise the recycled materials that will help to the construction.
The High Line 23 will have a total space of 39,000 square feet, it will cost about $22 million and is scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2009.
