Foster&Partners Design The Abu Dhabi World Trade Center

The architects from Foster&Parners had presented last week at MIPIM, Cannes, a project called Al Raha Beach and the Abu Dhabi World Trade Center being the main building. The Abu Dhabi World Trade Center was designed perfectly for this climate and topography - it provides shade and cooling - what more do you need for the extreme weather?

The structure is assymetric, probably that’s the thing that makes it look so futuristic, and it was designed with the help of an environmental hi-tech computer that made some sophisticated analsys.

The World Trade Center will provide spaces for a hotel, apartments, offices and shope, all of them with the purpose to attract many tourists and they are not going to wait very long as the construction is scheduled to begin this summer.

As many environmental elements were taken into consideration, it’s a wonder that they made it look so good and all its elements seem to be exactly where they should. The roof provides shade, but also lighting, and its streamlines are the ones that deliver the cool air.
