Cybertecture Egg For India By James Law

Cybertecture is the architecture of the 21st century and the company that will take it even further is James Law Cybertecture International. The company was assigned by Vijay Associate (Wadhwa Developers) to design a building like no other for Mumbai, India and they came up with the Cybertecture Egg.

James Law Cybertecture International will build the 32,000 square-meter building which will consist of 13 floors providing enough space for customizable living and working spaces.

Cybertecture combines technology, multimedia, intelligent systems and user interactivity, and the Egg will be an “iconic architecture, environmental design, intelligent systems, and new engineering to create an awe-inspiring landmark in the city”.

The Cybertecture will be taken to a whole new level - “cybertecture health” which will monitor health statistics like blood pressure and the weight of the inhabitants.

Like all the buildings of the future, the Cybertecture Egg will be self-sustainable and environmentally-friendly as it will make use of solar-photovoltaic panels and wind turbines on the roof.

The cooling of the Egg-shaped building will be provided by an elevated garden consisting of natural vegetation. Another important element is the water conservation feature that will be controlled thanks to a greywater recycling system for irrigation and landscaping. The Cybertecture Egg will be completed by the end of 2010.

Superb design. It’s about time this kind of thinking becomes the norm and there is as much thought put into all of the spaces humans occupy. I particularly love the mixing nature of in such a futuristic design.
