CityCenter Coming To Las Vegas – Aims LEED Certification

There are many structure projects who seek the LEED certification awarded by the USGBC, but not many get it. Still, it’s worth trying and big efforts will be repaid therefore the city of Las Vegas has begun the construction of an 18 million square feet sustainable development.

Called CityCenter and designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli, Foster + Partners, and Rafael Vinoly, it will be an $8 billion venture between the MGM Mirage and Dubai World, and its first building, Aria, will be completed at the end of next year and will be placed between Bellagio and Monte Carlo.

Some of the green features of the CityCenter will be the recycling of the construction waster, environmentally-friendly materials, natural lighting and on-site generation power plant. For your information, CityCenter will be the home of a casino, non-gaming hotels, a 500,000 square foot retail, and a public fine art program.
