Demographic Growth Leads To Orestad College

Ørestad College

It seems like we need a special reason to construct some cool buildings. In this case the demographic growth was the one that forced the Copenhagen authorities to build a new college for students. A new college was build in Ørestad City and it provides spaces for studying science, social science and human science.

Ørestad College

The stories of the college are boomerang-shaped and the interior was designed to be flexible in order to create spaces that will help small groups to rearrange however they want to. This is a very important project for education because this is a priority. I’m out of words and I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

The First Post Post-Modern Architectural Work

New Gehry Residence

Architecture master Frank Gehry gained international recognition with his own residence, a masterpiece that critics appreciate to bring a new level in architecture, which they called the post post-modern stage.

The New Gehry Residence is from a Los Angeles suburb and took 6 months to complete, at the construction of which took part NASA engineers, and builder and his crew. The odd shapes seem simple from outside, blending with each other in a discreet manner.

The materials used are also extremely advanced, to match such a structure. They used an advanced timber framing system, PVC-framed double glazed windows and gypsum plasterboard walls to create the new house. The construction is considered the work of a genius, as it satisfies all the needs of an American homeowner and puts them as an expression of contemporary urbanism.
